The New Rayburn 345W Qualifies for a Reduced Rate of VAT
Wood is Good – now not only is heating your home by burning wood carbon neutral and good for the environment but it could also be very good for your finances too!
The good news is that the government is offering a financial incentive for anyone buying a wood-fuelled boiler to provide their central heating. The latest Rayburn – the 345W – has been specifically designed to burn wood only. It’s special grate will optimise the combustion efficiency of wood for both cooking and central heating.
As a result the 345W and its installation qualifies for a reduced rate of VAT, 5% rather than the standard rate of 17.5%, when it is purchased and installed at the same time. And remember the reduced rate applies not only to the 345W appliance itself but also the basic installation cost directly associated with having your 345W installed. You just need to ensure that you purchase your 345W from the person that installs it so that both costs show on the same invoice.
The installation of the wood fuelled Rayburn 345W is eligible for reduced rating for VAT purposes(5%), when the item is installed in residential accommodation or a building used solely for a relevant charitable purpose. The reduced rating includes the price of the Rayburn itself. Please be aware that this a government and VAT Office initiative and may be altered or withdrawn without notice
If you or the installer require further information as to what can and cannot be included in the installation at the reduced rate of VAT please log on to :- http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/
Then on the home page type “708/6 - Energy Saving Materials” into the search facility and click “search”. The Energy Saving Materials paper can be accessed by clicking on the link. Or you can contact your local VAT Office for further clarification.
New Rayburn 480 CD
It's difficult to open a newspaper or switch on the radio without being flooded with information about energy consumption, carbon footprints and
the effect the fuel we use to run our cars and heat our homes has on the environment.
Long before it was a fashionable cause, energy efficiency and concern for the world around us were at the forefront of Rayburn thinking.
The Rayburn 480 CD is the only range cooker with an 'A' efficiency rated central heating boiler built in. The boiler has been awarded this rating after being independently tested. Tests have shown the boiler is more than 90% efficient.
As well as pioneering condensing technology, the Rayburn 480 CD also uses modulating technology which ensures it only produces the output required for the size of home. This means it can heat a two-bedroom property as efficiently as a five-bedroom home.
The Rayburn 480 CD is designed in such a way that it's compatible with modern worktops and kitchen units and its beautiful cast-iron styling ensures it looks equally at home in a modern or traditional setting. And the 480 CD comes with a balanced flue, which means that no chimney is required.
The Rayburn's reputation for superior copoking performance is well founded - the cooker uses radiant heat to ensure all the flavour and goodness are locked into food.
New Rayburn Tea Towel
The Rayburn collection of quality kitchen textiles has a new addition – the Rayburn-branded tea towel.
Featuring a jacquard basket weave and made of 52% cotton and 48% linen superior glass cloth, the new tea towel boasts high absorbency and can be washed on a 60º cycle.
New Rayburn Splash Shield
New to the Rayburn Cookware Collection is an ingenious device designed to help keep clean the inside of the Rayburn hotplate lids.
The Rayburn Splash Shield is a re-usable lining which fits on the inside of your Rayburn lids. Easy to use and easy to clean, the Splash Shield stops fat burning on to the inside of the hotplate lid and is non-stick and dishwasher-proof.
At just £11.95, this surely is an indispensable addition to the Rayburn Cookware Collection.
Solid Fuel Update
Concerns over dwindling resources and a greater knowledge of the impact our high-tech lives have on the environment, have seen many of us move toward more traditional ways of living, putting solid fuel very firmly back on the agenda.
Wood is considered a sustainable, renewable and carbon-neutral fuel. Rayburn solid fuel and wood burning models run on a range of natural and
manufactured solid mineral fuels, as well as a variety of wood-derived products, which have the advantage of a zero carbon rating and minimal emissions.
There are six solid fuel and wood burning models in the Rayburn range – two cooker-only models, one which provides cooking and hot water and three which provide central heating and hot water. All are capable of burning wood and seasoned timber.
The newly relaunched Rayburns – with the SFW suffix (solid fuel and wood)– have the classic good looks and styling that are quintessentially Rayburn and are available in Cream, Black, Pewter, British Racing Green, Claret, Dark Blue and Sable.
All models comply with recent building regulations for new-build homes and are HETAS listed.
Designed to perform – the Rayburn 800 Series
The Rayburn 800 Series from Aga is causing quite a stir. With six attractive colours and the solid reliability that sets Rayburn apart as a kitchen icon, the 800 Series cookers offer everything one would expect from a Rayburn, only on a larger scale.
The two cast iron ovens are of an equal size and are the largest of any Rayburn to date.
The main oven is brilliant for roasting, baking, grilling and everything else that requires a hotter temperature.
The lower oven – which runs at 50% of the main oven – is perfect for slower cooking.
As well as looking great and performing brilliantly, cookers in the Rayburn 800 Series are able to provide all the heating and hot water a busy household could need. Typically, the largest 800 Series cooker will comfortably run more than 20 radiators.
The Rayburn 800 Series cookers run on oil. All cookers in the Series are available in Cream, Black, Pewter, British Racing Green, Claret, and Dark Blue.
Rayburn XT
The Rayburn XT is ultra-modern, stylish, functional and a gorgeous addition to any kitchen.
It has contemporary, sleek lines and beautiful styling. And its heavy chrome door handles and seductively
curved towel rail make it set to lead the way in 21st-century range cooking.
Cast iron, range cookers go from strength to strength, with more being sold each year and many of today’s cooks want a statement-making, state-of-the-art cooker that offers the peerless performance Rayburn is known for in a stunning, modern style.
This is why the XT scores so highly. Built by Aga to exacting quality standards and faithful to the Rayburn heritage, it’s packaged with sympathetic modernity, ensuring it looks fantastic in even the most contemporary setting.
But the XT’s not simply good looking. It also offers the brilliant cooking performance the company is known for. Rayburns use indirect heat technology, which is kind to food – rather than allowing food to dry out, it seals in the flavours and natural juices, creating healthier and better tasting dishes. The Rayburn XT suits all cooking styles from the wildly adventurous to the oh-so tame. In fact, there isn’t a dish that the cooker doesn’t cope with perfectly.
Particularly innovative is the XT’s large hotplate which, because of its curvacious lids, gives the cooker a fabulous and truly distinctive look. And, as it has a powerflue, it can be placed almost anywhere in the kitchen.
The Rayburn XT – a modern classic.
