Broccoli Stir-Fry

Broccoli Sti-Fry

 

 

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 kg (2lb) tenderstem or purple broccoli
  • 1 red pepper
  • ½ an onion
  • 1 pak choi
  • 1 carrot
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 teaspoons cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 garlic glove, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger

 

Separate the broccoli florets if the heads are large and discard any tough stems.  Slice the other vegetables.  Mix the soy sauce, orange juice, cornflour and honey in a small bowl and set aside.

Heat a wok until very hot, then add the sesame oil.  Once the oil is hot add the sliced vegetables and broccoli.  Toss once, then add the garlic and ginger and keep tossing and cooking for about 3 minutes more.

Pour in the soy sauce mixture and stir well.  Cook for a couple of minutes, then serve.
