FUEL CONVERSIONS

Each Rayburn is individually designed and dedicated to obtain the maximum performance from its particular fuel source, with many of the major internal components varying considerably from model to model.

Consequently to change from one fuel type to another is not just a case of switching or substituting a burner, but would also involve a considerable amount of modification, if the efficiency is to be maintained. This is rarely cost effective.

For this reason Aga-Rayburn do not promote this type of work, or supply fuel conversion packages.

Attempts to convert to gas firing using ‘ad hoc’ parts could raise serious safety issues and current legislation does not permit ‘unapproved’ burners or controls to be used.

Under certain circumstances and with certain models, it may be possible to change specific fuels within the same general fuel group.

Check with your stockist or engineer as to the viability and materials required.
