TURNING YOUR RAYBURN OFF
Models 222K & OF22
During very cold
weather, in an otherwise unheated house, consideration should be given to
leaving the boiler burner on a low temperature setting, to prevent freezing of
the water system.
For short periods of absence, say several days,
we suggest that the cooker burner be left ON at a low setting. Turn the control
knob 'C' to the lowest number.
For longer periods the burner can be
extinguished, by turning knob 'C' to the OFF position.
When heating is not required, turn knob 'B' to
the OFF position and turn OFF the electricity supply to the external, heating
circulating pump or time-clock.
When neither burner is required, lift the trip
lever 'D' until it clicks and release. We also recommend that the oil
supply be isolated at the storage tank or at a convenient service valve,
external to the Rayburn. Pull the flue damper 'G' fully open and open the
air-flap 'H'
Warning. Never try and relight a
hot burner.
