TURNING YOUR RAYBURN OFF
Models 368K and Oil Nouvelle
During very cold weather, in
an otherwise unheated house, consideration should be given to leaving the
appliance on a low setting, to prevent freezing of the water system.

To turn the boiler burner off, just set the
boiler control knob 'H' to the OFF position and turn OFF any external controls
such as the time-clock or room thermostat. The electricity supply must be
left ON, so as to enable the cooker burner to continue operating automatically.
With pre-1996 models, the control knob 'J' should also be turned to the OFF
position.
We recommend that for short periods of non-use,
the cooker burner should be left alight at a low setting, with the thermostat
control knob 'A' set to OFF, however, to
extinguish completely during longer periods, also turn OFF the oil control knob
'C'
If neither burner is to be used for a longer
period, then in addition to the above, lift the trip lever 'D' until it clicks
and release. We also recommend that the oil supply should be switched OFF at the
oil storage tank or at a service valve.
Warning. Never try and relight a
hot cooker burner.
