TURNING YOUR RAYBURN OFF

Models 380G, 380L, GD80

If central heating is not required for a short period of say several days, it is sufficient just to turn the external clock or room thermostat OFF, leaving the pilot alight.

To extinguish the pilot light as well, twist the control knob 'A'  until it clicks.

During very cold weather, in an otherwise unheated house, consideration should be given to leaving the boiler on a low setting, to prevent freezing of the water system.

When the cooker is not required for a short period of time, the pilot should be left alight. Just turn the cooker thermostat knob to the OFF position. (later models 380G & 380L)   For early models and model GD80, if the main burner is required to be turned off, then it is necessary to extinguish the pilot as below.

To also extinguish the cooker burner pilot during longer periods, turn OFF the pilot cock 'E'
