TURNING YOUR RAYBURN ON
Models 200K, 208K, 300K, 308K & OF7

With some models the Oil Control Valve and burner may be situated on the R.H.
side of the cooker.

With boiler models, ensure that the water
system is filled before lighting.
Never try and relight a hot burner. Wait until
it is cold to the touch.
1. Turn ON the oil supply at the storage tank and
at any other control valves.
2. Remove the loose cover to reveal the Oil
Control Valve (OCV) and push down the trip lever 'D' until it clicks then
release. Turn the OCV control knob 'C' to its highest setting.
3. Allow about 15 minutes for oil to enter the
burner.
4. Open the outer burner door and carefully lift
off the inner door.
5. Lift or swing clear, the hinged lighting flap
cover 'F' to expose the lighting port.
6. Insert a lighted taper or match through the
port, to ignite the wick.
7. Carefully close the lighting flap cover and
replace the inner door. Close the outer door.
8. Turn the OCV knob 'C' to the low setting for
about 30 minutes, to allow the burner to warm to its normal temperature.
9. The cooker can then be operated normally,
using the control knob 'C' to achieve the desired temperatures. When cooking is
not required the knob should be turned to the low setting and the flame
will remain alight at a low idling rate.
WARNING. If the burner fails to
ignite or operate properly; or there is a strong smell of oil or fumes; or you
are unsure if the cooker has been serviced recently, --- DO NOT USE ---
Have the appliance checked by a qualified engineer.
