TURNING YOUR RAYBURN ON

Models 208G, 208L, 209G

Lighting the burner

Make sure that the water system is full before lighting.

1. Open the outer door 'B' and lift off the inner door 'C'

2. Turn the external gas cock ON, i.e. with the slot in line with the pipe.

3. Ensure the cooker control knob 'A' is in the OFF position.

4. On later models only, ensure CDSD button is  pushed in and reset.

5. Push and hold in, the flame failure button 'N'

6. Light pilot burner 'H' with a taper, continuing to hold button 'N' in for a further 15 seconds.

7. Release button 'N'. pilot should remain alight. If not, wait 3 minutes then repeat above procedure, but keeping button 'N' depressed slightly longer.

8. Replace inner door 'C' . Turn cooker control knob 'A' to desired setting, when the main burner 'K' should light smoothly.

9. Close outer door 'B'. The cooker can now be used normally, under the control of knob 'A'. When the cooker is not required for cooking, turn the control knob to the lowest setting, allowing the burner to remain with a low flame.

WARNING. If the burner fails to ignite or operate properly; or there is a smell of gas or fumes; or you are unsure if the cooker has been serviced recently,  --- DO NOT USE --- Have the appliance checked by a qualified engineer.
