TURNING YOUR RAYBURN ON

Ensure that the water system is filled before firing the Rayburn

These models are fitted with two independent burners, one for cooking and the other for central heating & hot water. Both are fully automatic in operation, under the control of their respective thermostats, time clock and any other external controls which may be fitted.

The control panel can be accessed through the controls doors and will appear as follows:

To operate either burner.

1. Ensure that the fuel and electricity supply is turned on to the Rayburn and that any external controls which are fitted such as a room thermostat etc are also calling for heat.

2. Set the appropriate programmer channel to an ON setting/period

3. Turn ON the relevant thermostat control knob and the burner will shortly fire.

4. If the burners fail to ignite, they will shut down safely and the relevant control box lock-out lamp will illuminate. see illustrations below.

Wait 3 minutes and then press the button to reset and attempt another start up. If the burner repeatedly locks-out, turn the thermostat OFF and seek technical help from your service engineer.

WARNING. If either burner fails to ignite or operate properly; or if there is a smell of gas or oil fumes; or if the overheat reset buttons keep tripping; or you are unsure if the cooker has been serviced recently,  --- DO NOT USE --- Have the appliance checked by a qualified engineer.
