TURNING YOUR RAYBURN ON
Model G33 Nat Gas & LPG
Ensure that the water system is filled before
firing the Rayburn
Note that these cookers were available with
left or right-handed ovens. Therefore the illustration and instructions shown
for a R.H. model, may have to be interpreted for a L.H. cooker.

To light cooker burner:
1. Open outer burner door and lift off the inner
door
2. Turn OFF both control taps 'F' & 'K' and
boiler burner pilot cock 'L'
3. Turn ON the external gas cock 'A'
4. Immediately light the pilot burner 'B' with a
match
5. Replace inner door
6. Turn ON the control tap 'F', when main burner
'G' should ignite
7. Use the tap 'F' to control the burning rate
and thus achieve the desired cooking temperature. Domestic hot water will also
be produced.
To light the boiler burner:
1. First light cooker burner pilot as described
above
2. Turn ON the boiler pilot cock 'L' i.e. with
the slot in line with the pipe.
3. Immediately light the pilot burner 'M' with a
match.
4. Push and turn ON the control knob 'K'
5. The second pilot 'N' should light from the
main pilot
6. Replace inner door.
7. After about 1 minute the main boiler burner
'R' should light.
8. Use the outer control ring 'Q' to control the
water temperature.
9. For central heating, turn ON any external
electrical controls such as a thermostat, time-clock or pump.
WARNING. If the burners fail to
ignite or operate properly; or there is a smell of gas or fumes; or you are
unsure if the cooker has been serviced recently, --- DO NOT USE --- Have
the appliance checked by a qualified engineer.
